New Swimming Class at the YMCA...

Kaila is now doing swimming at our local YMCA. I just love how much our YMCA has to offer. Here she is on the first day of her class.

Practicing kicking...
More kicking away from the wall...

From the first day of class she has already learned how to doggy paddle, with a floater on of course. It's just so neat to watch her and see her confidence building when it comes to swimming and being in the water.

Happy 2nd Birthday Kalehua!!!

On Saturday, we headed over to the Schaumburg area to celebrate Kalehua's 2nd birthday. The girls had a blast playing on their inflatable bouncer in the basement. It was a fun day all around!

Ballerina Kaila...

I finally was able to get some cute pictures of Kaila doing some of her dance positions & paying close attention in class.

My little ballerina...

Kaila's first visit to the Dentist...

Kaila had her first visit to the dentist on Thursday. We were a little concerned about a few spots on her teeth, but everything turned out to be just fine...no cavities, just plaque. I was so proud to hear from the dental hygienist that she did very well being that she is such a squirmy-wormy nowadays, and considering that it was just her & the hygienist in the room (I was in the room next door having my teeth done and Cisco & Kenna were in the waiting room). Can't believe she hit another milestone!

Snowmageddon...

When we woke up this morning, we seriously felt like we had been buried alive because the snow had covered our screens in the front and also our front door. When I pushed the door open this morning I actually had to push back about 6 inches of snow!! Not only did it snow a significant amount, but the wind was blowing it everywhere piling snow as high as 22 inches in some areas. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Our neighbors out back...
Cisco working hard to dig us out. He was out there from 9:30-2pm with two 1- hour breaks in between.

After all that hard work, he was only able to shovel enough so that our car can make it out the driveway. There is still about 20% of the driveway left that needs to be shoveled, mainly on the sides. Thanks Beb for all your hard work :)

Kaila's allergic reaction...

Our poor Kaila had an allergic reaction to something & we still don't know what it is!! We had tests run to see what could have caused this, but the doctor said all her test results for the common allergies and blackberries (which we thought was the culprit), came back negative! We were shocked, to say the least. We'll just have to keep an eye on her and hope it doesn't happen again. I personally think it was some kind of physical withdrawal/stress reaction from Tutu leaving ;)

Happy 4th Birthday Ben!!!

Ben had his 4th birthday at Jump Zone in St.Charles. We've been there once before when Kenna was first born, but this time Kenna actually got to play & participate. The girls had a blast!! A great idea for next years' birthday party...we'll see.

Kenna enjoyed the tot area...

The Girls' New Spot...

We rearranged our living room because we felt we needed change and it worked out perfect for the girls to have their little table & chairs here. The only thing is that now Sadie doesn't have a comfy couch to lounge on and look out the window, so she has to settle for a hard table.

Off to Chicago...

Boy, did we have a full agenda when my Mom, Teresa, & Zaysha came to visit. We spent our last day with them in Chicago. Coming this far from Hawai'i, you have to say you've experienced Chicago, especially for Teresa since my Mom has been once before when Kenna was born.

Saying good-bye to Sadie...
1st stop: The Oprah Store...
2nd stop: Garrett's Popcorn...
3rd stop: Soldier Field/Museum Campus while the Bears played the Seahawks...
Then we checked into the Embassy Hotel & Suites & walked to The Rainforest Cafe for dinner...
Our last stop was the Willis Tower. This time we decided to go at night since we've been there twice before during the day...

It's a Birthday Party for...

First we ate, then we did a little craft project where we made a butterfly antennae head crown.
Then we played a little game (well, tried): pin the antennae on the butterfly.
Then we sang Happy Birthday & ate some cupcakes.

*Thank you Morgan for letting us use your kiddie table!*
Then we opened some gifts. Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful gifts!!
Lastly before everyone went home, we made sure we got some photos for the memory books.
At the end of the day = SO happy!
