Children's Museum of Chicago

Inside of Navy Pier is the Children's Museum of Chicago. We had never been there before, so we were excited to take Kaila there. She absolutely loves these children's museums.

Playing with the water system.
Driving the tractor......."hold on to your seat belts" she says.
Going down the piano slide. Plays music like a piano when you slide down the keys.
Showing us how to fill up the car with gas.
Digging for fossils.
Kaila really is THAT small ;)
Kenna wanted to join her Ate on the big couch.
Kenna was just happy to be out of the stroller.

Building a structure with Daddy. Showing her how to use their screwdriver/wrench hybrid tool.
"Mommy, I don't think Daddy knows what he's doing."
This was probably the best exhibit they had. You had to build a flying contraption made out of foam and the goal was to make it stay in the air as long as possible. When you built it, you would place it on their hand-crank elevator, raise it up to the top, then it would fly down. Kaila LOVED this one; she didn't want to leave (neither did Daddy).
Making crafts with Mommy.

Navy Pier

With the fall weather being so beautiful here in Illinois, we had a great opportunity to take advantage of Navy Pier. We had some extra time to kill before we headed out of town to Michigan, since my dad still had some business in The City.
Grandma paid for Kaila to ride the kids train. She looks SO excited.
The Navy Pier Ferris Wheel. Tried to get my mom to ride with us, but she refused and just offered to stay on the ground with Kenna (*chicken bock-bock*).
A good picture of Mother-Daughter on the Ferris wheel......
......and Father-Daughter.
Kaila really enjoyed herself on the ride.

Family picture with Lake Michigan in the back. Notice BOTH Kaila and Kenna turned away from the camera. Sisters.....
Life is so hard for her.
Enjoying our time at Navy Pier.
The girls had fun with Grandma.
Enjoying our nice lunch in the garden area.
"Thanks Grandma for the Happy Meal."
Mesmerizing.......

Our Time in the City

With my dad having "business" in Chicago to take care of, we tagged along and was able to spend some quality time in The City. Every time we go in, we always leave with more of an appreciation for what Chicago has to offer. So we were able to cruise down Michigan Ave., eat some Giordiano's, and pig out on Garrett's popcorn.

Kenna enjoying herself in the hotel playpen.
Kaila playing tea-party at the Disney Store.
"Hmmmmm, which Princess set do I like best?"
Enjoying all the dolls at "American Girl."

Kaila had this thing for trying on hats at all the stores.

A photo op with Grandma.
Kaila with all the pumpkins in the lobby of the hotel.
"Grandpa you're back from work! Guess what we did today?"
One last picture with the pumpkin in the lobby.
Kenna was a trooper during all the walking and shopping. Was always smiling.

Headed to Pre-School with Grandma

One treat while my parents were here was that they were able to drop-off and pick-up Kaila at pre-school. Kaila was excited to have them go with her to school.

Loaded up in the van, ready to go the school with Grandma and Grandpa!
Showing them where her little cubby is.
One picture before bringing her into the classroom.
Playing puzzles with her friends.
"Grandma, you'll be right back?"
Gotta get her H2O after class.
"Got my bag Grandma and Grandpa....let's go!"

Grandma and Grandpa Reyes are Here!

Kaila was very excited when Grandma & Grandpa pulled into the driveway. Prior to them driving in, she could not keep still and was bouncing off the walls with excitement.

Greeting Grandma & Grandpa...
Kenna, on the other hand, was a little unsure of what was going on and a lot of that was due to the fact that she was just about to take a little nap when they arrived.
