Birthday Party Prep...

Wow, I forgot how much work goes in to planning a party! But also how much fun it is to decorate and create things you didn't realize you could. It's fun to bring out your inner Martha Stewart every once in a while ;)

Living room transformed into party room...Yes, at 11:23pm the night before, we were still hard at work...
More decorating...
Making the cupcake-cake...
Ready to party, but first Kenna must take a nap ;)
Thank you to Cisco, my Mom, & Teresa for helping with everything and putting up with me as I became Mom-zilla the few days leading up to and the day of the party. Without them, I could not have done it :)

Kaila loves dance (like her Daddy & Tita Megan)...

Kaila had her first day of dance while my Mom was here. Most of the pictures were left on her camera, but here is one shot we got of her while in class. She absolutely loves it! Being the expressive/dramatic girl that she is, she loves the drama & the storytelling that go along with dance. Her instructor is also very good at keeping the girls' attention. Since it's more of a creative movement/beginning dance class, she does a lot of Disney Princess storytelling (which Kaila loves), but using movements of dance. It's really cute to watch!!

Family Photos with Lindsay...

While my Mom, Teresa, & Zaysha were here Lindsay offered to take some family photos of us.

Here are my favorites:

Happy 3rd Birthday Kaila!!!

January is a VERY busy month for us. Or I should say winter is a VERY busy season for us because aside from the holidays, Kenna's birthday is in December along with our anniversary. Come January, it's Cisco's, Sadie's, & last but not least Kaila's birthday!

*Here are some stats for memory's sake: she weighs 31 lbs. & is 38 inches tall. Her growth curve has been pretty consistent, with her still in the 80th percentile for height and 20th for weight*

Handing out her birthday treat bags at school...
Birthday princess for the day...
With Tutu...
Her new thing is giving 'two thumbs up,' so of course she had to give two thumbs up for her birthday :)
Happy 3rd Birthday Kaila!!!
Right after blowing out her candle...

Birthday dinner at Olive Garden...
A big cheese from Sissy...
One of my favorite mother-daughter pictures...
Thank you everyone for all my birthday gifts!!!

Chuck E Cheese fun...

Before the big surprise, the girls and I had planned on joining the playgroup at Chuck E Cheese on Wednesday. We still kept with our original plans and took everyone along with us. We're glad we did because now it's all Kaila can talk about whenever we have, see, or hear about pizza. We all had a great time :)

The kids loved this mini carousel ride...
It was by far Kenna's favorite...

Tutu & Kaila getting in on a game of air hockey...
"I love Clifford, the big red dog."
Kaila was a little unsure of this ride being that it went up a little further than she expected, but she was a trooper because Tutu was there just in case...
Riding the horse...
Pretty Zaysha with Chuck E Cheese (who Kaila was VERY afraid of)...

Happy 5th Birthday Sadie!!!

Our first-born is now 5 years old!! Yes, we consider Sadie to be our first-born because before the other 2, Sadie was our baby. We cannot believe that she has now surpassed us in human years (she is now about 35 years old)!! She is becoming quite the grumpy old lady at times. Doesn't want to be bothered when she is lounging/relaxing, but she can still be very playful with the girls.

Happy 5th Birthday Sadie!!!
Sadie & Zaysha got pretty comfortable around each other after a while, being that at first Zaysha was very unsure of her.

Day 1 of the BIG Surprise...

I was overjoyed (to say the least) to see my Mom, Teresa, & Zaysha!! The first day they arrived we let them rest (just a lil' bit) being that they flew in on the red-eye. But since everyone was too excited to rest for long, we ended up spending most of our time catching up/talking story and playing in the snow.

Fresh off the plane & in our living room!!!(I'm still in shock at this point)...
Tutu with her girls(they obviously are still in shock too)...
Checking out the snow before we head outside...
Zaysha's first time seeing snow...
All bundled up(eww, I look very pasty compared to Teresa's beautiful Hawaiian-tanned skin ;))...
Making snowballs...
It's a snow bunny!
Wishing it was sand on a beautiful beach in Hawai'i(with her sand pail)...
Since we don't have a sled, we had to use a flotation device and it worked pretty well. If only there was some warm Hawaiian water to go along with this picture ;)
