The Last Day :(

Today was the last day before our friends had to go back home. Being blessed with yet another beautiful spring day, we headed back into Chicago for more activities. We decided to go to the Adler Planetarium.
Ready to take on the "universe!"
Adler Planetarium

Infrared light demonstration. Can you see us?
Ready to see Elmo (or as she calls him: "apple") in the Skyview Theater. During the show, she looked pretty amazed at everything.....she was speechless, but glued to the screen.
Playing with the exhibits.
Learning about the mass of objects.

Out on the deck by the Galileo Cafe. Yet another beautiful shot of Chi-City.

One last picture by Kaila's favorite exhibit/show.

Wow! What a week, and like most vacations, it came and went. So many memories in such a short time. We did a lot of activities, and ate A LOT of food. From the Field Museum to the Sears Tower, from the Chicago Premium Outlets to the Navy Pier, what a blast. We ate everything from Fushi Yami sushi in DeKalb to a magnificent italian dinner at Maggiano's. Even with the eating out, we still had some awesome home cooking, from Jen's adobo and bibingka (SARAP NAMAN!) to corn chowder and banana/blueberry pancakes. Such a fun time spent with three of our closest and dearest friends. Kaila will miss her three aunties; Shannon even taught Kaila how to say "auntie." She really bonded with the three of them and we know the three of them bonded with Kaila.

We will miss them very much, and we pray that God will reunite us soon.

Navy Pier and Millenium Park

Today we spent most of our day at Navy Pier. We also stopped by Millenium Park to check out "the bean." It was a cold, spring day, but very fun.

It was a cold day, so Kaila was bundled up.

So we just went inside the Museum store and let Kaila (and Cisco) have at it with the toys in there. It was a task trying to get her out of there.......and Cisco.Crystal Gardens. Sears Tower and Chinatown

Today, the first site we visited was the Sears Tower, or soon-to-be-called the Willis Tower. It reminded us of a Disneyland ride: you walk in to a line, that lead to another line, that lead to a pre-show, that lead to another line, that lead to the actual attraction. It was an awesome site. It was a sunny day, so visibility was good up top. After, we hit up Chinatown for a late Dim Sum lunch, along with bubble tea and Asian desserts.

Wow......it was tall.
Inside during one of the lines, a picture of GOAT, aka. Greatest of All Time. Cisco had to stop and take a picture.
The ladies ready for the pre-show.
Trying to calm Kaui's nerves.

Up top, looking at DeKalb, and Idaho, Oregon, California, and Hawai'i. Facing the "Best Side," aka. the "WESTSIDE!!"
Trying not to let the elevation get the best of us.
Downtown Chi-City.
Munching on Cheerios while we all enjoyed the scenery.
The ladies overlooking downtown.
OBAMA!!!!
