New Arrival!!!

Tuesday, December 1st, Kaui was having contractions throughout the day. The contractions grew stronger and closer as the day progressed. At 2:30am, Kaui woke up with very strong contractions, about 4 minutes apart, so we headed to Kishwaukee Hospital here in DeKalb. We got there, and Kaui was already 5-6 cm dilated. Dr. Dubrick said the baby would be born by sunrise......

.....sure enough, on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009 at 6:06am, before the sun rose, we welcomed into the world Kenna-Rose Ku'uipou'iokalanihiwa Reyes. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 2.5 ounces, and was 20-inches long. Although she came 3 weeks early, everything checked out fine. Kaui was able to have a successful all-natural delivery again. Here are some pictures from the big day:

Sisters:

We are very thankful to have friends like the Flewellings. They were willing to come pick Kaila up from the hospital in the middle of the night, and take care of her during the day. We couldn't have done it without them. Kaila with her buddy Morgan.
Mel Gilson came to pay Kenna and Kaui a visit.
