Kaila is 2 1/2 & Kenna is 8 months old!

Kaila turned 2 1/2 on July 13th while we were on our Disney trip, but just recently had her 2 1/2 year check-up with Dr. Cook since she is going to be starting preschool at the end of this month. According to Dr. Cook she is completely healthy, except for her attitude at times ;) Just kidding...Dr. Cook said the attitude is normal. She reassured us that they don't call it the terrible 2's for nothing and that most 2 year olds do make it to 3...lol! We thought that was funny.

Her stats are as follows: she weighs 29 lbs, which makes her 55% heavier than girls her age and is 3 ft. 2 in. or 38 in., which makes her 80% taller than girls her age. For Cisco & I it was a moment we'll never forget as we watched her sit on the exam table and answer all the questions Dr. Cook asked her, all by herself. Our favorite was when Dr. Cook asked her how her talking was and she answered with an emphatic, "Good!" It was quite a tear-jerking moment to think that our little girl is becoming a big girl.

Our little angel getting ready to see Dr. Cook...

Kenna turned 8 months on August 2nd. She is quite the explorer nowadays. Putting slippers in her mouth, playing with Sadie's bowls, and eating the remote are a few of her bad habits, along with sticking out her tongue ;) She is quite the finger food eater and even knows how to sign "more" and "all done." Well, "more" is like a clap and "all done" is like a bye. But she actually does know how to wave bye. She does it with both hands by flicking her wrists, and says "baba, baba." Her favorite song is "If You're Happy and You Know it" to which she'll clap her hands and smile cheesily. "Mama" beat "Dada" to the race this time around :) Kaila said "Dada" first, but Kenna has definitely worn out the word "Mama." She is also quite the couch cruiser and weighs in at 17 lbs. 9 oz.

Happy 8 months!
Both girls...
Admiring her sister playing outside, probably wishing she could too...
Little sissy...
