Looking back over the years....

We started this blog to keep in touch with family and friends. And in doing so, we began to reminisce. So here are the moments that brought us here......

We met at Pacific University in August of 2001. Cisco was Kaui's Orientation Team Leader (OTL) during Kaui's Freshman Orientation week.

We started dating on October 28, 2001. Above is a picture of our first date at the "Old Spaghetti Factory" in Hillsboro, OR.

Cisco graduated from Pacific in May of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.

In May of 2005, Kaui graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Pacific, while Cisco graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Education from the University of Idaho.

We got engaged on October 28, 2005 in Moscow, ID.

On September 11, 2006 we brought our first blessing into the world. Her name is Sadie Aloria Kailani Reyes...hehe, yeah our Shih Tzu :) Sadie was eight months when we got her.

Then on December 30, 2006 we got married in Kaneohe, HI at St. Ann's Church.

We found out we were expecting in June 2007.

6-months - October 2007

7-months (spending Thanksgiving 2007 in Las Vegas).

8-months (Christmas 2007).

9-months - January 2008

On Sunday, January 13, 2008, Kaila-Louise Keanelaokalanihiwa Reyes was born at 2:18pm in Moscow, ID. Weighing in at 6 lbs. 4 1/2 oz. and 20 inches long.

3 days after Kaila was born, Cisco left for Illinois to interview for an Assistant Professor position at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. At the time, Kaui was not very happy about him leaving, but it paid off in the long run.

Sadie instantly fell in love with Kaila's rocker...

Kaila was baptized on Saturday, January 26, 2008.

Cisco accepted the job at Northern Illinois University on February 13, 2008 to be an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education.

2-months (with the Easter Bunny)...

3-months...

4-months (her first plane ride & her first swim)...

5-months (Farewell Party on Friday, June 20, 2008, first taste of food = carrots, & ear-piercing on the 4th of July)...

6-months (1/2 birthday party at the pool)...

On Wednesday, July 30, 2008, we moved to our new home in DeKalb, IL...GO HUSKIES!

7-months (Kaila swimming in her pool, crawling with one knee & one leg, & eating in her highchair)...
